Luca wasn't sure at first. While I was waiting for the colour to develop he was all, "Red? Why is your hair red?" and then, always so happy to embrace change, "Wash it off RIGHT NOW!"
Later, as I pushed him on the swing, he said, "I have to tell you sorry for something I sayed before, Mumma. I have to say sorry for not liking your hair. I think it looks beautiful. Really, really, really beautiful."
I have been reeeeally missing blonde and I think I will go back in a few more months but for now, I'm going with my kid. My really, really, really sweet kid.
And now Saturday Share.
I'm going to do a thing. On Saturdays.
I'm going to share some of what I have been reading in the land of the blogs each week. If you are looking for some amazing writing, click through and enjoy.
Edenland – Nothing But The Truth So Help Me God
This is almost like telling you to check out Pink. As though maybe you hadn't heard of her. Eden is a blogging superstar. But mostly, Eden can write. She is grieving her beloved step-father, Jim, at the moment and her honesty will pierce your soul.
Good Googs – Positive
A moving post about a fleeting pregnancy. The sinking feeling of the negative test when your heart AND your body tell you it should be positive.
These Little Waves – Mother Daughter Journals
My friend, Galit, has a gift for finding the beauty in all things. Her words are a balm, a soft place to land. And so it surprises me not a bit that she shares a journal with her daughters, a place where she writes to them and they write back. THEY WRITE BACK. Oh, sweet lord, if that isn't the most gorgeous idea.
I suspect that Mother Son journals may not be as well received so I'll wait for Harlow to be ready before trying this…
A Mad World – This and that, down under
This is a blog written by my lovely friend, Madeleine. She is an Aussie living with her young family in Los Angeles. Recently she made a trip back home to visit family in Sydney. This post features some of her gorgeous photography. I LOVE looking at Mad's photography. I think the way people take photos says so much about how they view the world. Mad's view is gorgeous.
If you've read anything awesome this week (or written it!), I'd love you to share a link below.
