The Little Daily

So this is an actual text sent to me by a real human woman. A real human woman with kids and a busy life of her own.

To say that her gesture was overwhelming doesn't come close to expressing the magnitude of what this meant to me.

As my reply indicates, I had not planned dinner and was wondering by what miracle I might pull something together at the last minute.

The miracle turned out to be a real human woman and a real friend.

This is not the first time someone has loved me via their kitchen stove and yet, I am still just as amazed and humbled and grateful.

Don't ever underestimate the impact an act of kindness can have on another person's day.

Homemade sausage rolls and vegie lentil soup: powerful stuff.

Hello friends

I’m Angie!  I mum. I write. I wife. My husband would say this is the correct order.  He’s so neeeedy. I live with my family in Melbourne, Australia, where I complain about the weather for 90% of the year – but I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Except maybe in Lake Como, waving to my neighbours George and Amal each morning.
