The Little Daily: Teach Your Children Well

I am posting this late because my sons do not respect bedtime.

But you had better believe I am raising them to respect women.

Rest with the angels, beautiful Jill.

Hello friends

I’m Angie!  I mum. I write. I wife. My husband would say this is the correct order.  He’s so neeeedy. I live with my family in Melbourne, Australia, where I complain about the weather for 90% of the year – but I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Except maybe in Lake Como, waving to my neighbours George and Amal each morning.

It is awesome isn’t it? As soon as I saw it I thought, this is something that should be shared again and again. It is just so true.

We moved our family half way around the world in the hope that it might be just a little safer, and to protect them from a certainty of violence (especially against women and children) we lived with day to day. This is a scary wake up call of the reality of a world we live in. It’s a message that needs to screamed loud and strong!

Yes. Very true. Very needs to be shared.

Why, oh, why should the onus always be on the woman?

    Yes.

    Absolutely.

I can’t imagine what it must have been like to live with that fear, Rebekah. Glad you are here now. What happened to Jill is, for the most part, an anomaly in this country. And this is why Australians have responded with such outrage and grief.

    xx
