Four Winners and Four Photos

Firstly, congratulations to Tanya, Anya, Jane and Narelle – you are the lucky winners of the Spencer and Rutherford totes courtesy of Red Finch Boutique. Please email your postal deets to thelittlemumma[at]gmail[dot]com so I can send your prizes out.

Thank you to everyone who entered. I wish I could have given you all a tote!

Secondly, where has this year gone? Flying by, the days are. I am finding it increasingly difficult to find time to sit down and write. I have a bunch of giveaways coming up which is fun, and then I'm going to try and refocus on some real and proper writing around here. I love to have a mix of things happening on the blog, but mostly I want to tell my stories so stay tuned for more of that. I have a multitude of overshares to overshare with you.

And finally, let me share some pics. Four photos to capture what 'lately' feels like around here.

Here's Luca at his school concert. I was seated miles and miles from the front row hence the shitty photography.

Stage Presence
He and his classmates danced to "Under The Sea" from The Little Mermaid (no relation to The Little Mumma). I can't believe I am actually going to type this, but it was by far the best performance of the night. Seriously, you can ask anyone. Prep R owned it.

Rave Review
The finale had more than one parent flashing back to a raving youth misspent.

And now observe dinner time around these parts.

Feeding Time
Some families sit together, on chairs, and chat pleasantly about their day. Some trade best moment, worst moment anecdotes. Some children ask to be excused when they have finished eating all their veggies.

In this house, Bren and I have taken to serving dinner and then not calling the kids to the table so that a) the food will have cooled down enough to circumvent the nightly hysteria at the boiling temperature meals we force our children to eat, and, b) we can eat at least part of our meals in peace.

Control Lost
And also, our children are animals.

How are you travelling? Ready for Christmas……?

Hello friends

I’m Angie!  I mum. I write. I wife. My husband would say this is the correct order.  He’s so neeeedy. I live with my family in Melbourne, Australia, where I complain about the weather for 90% of the year – but I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Except maybe in Lake Como, waving to my neighbours George and Amal each morning.

Haha! The eating pics!! I will have my two in their high chairs until they’re cutting off the circulation to their legs. 😉
And I totally get your comment about feeding them boiling food! Too funny! Oscar will say ”OT” and shudder before the food has even touched his lips sometimes…

I think I have had some sort of PTSD event related to the neon glow picture…. Now it is me shuddering 😉

Oh, you totally could have been writing about our children and their dinnertime antics. Ditto on the temperature issues (I didn’t realise you subjected your children to the same torture!), and mine rarely sit at the table for longer than 30 seconds at a time, and never at the same time. Sigh. One day we’ll have one of those families who sit together and trade anecdotes, and children who actually eat something vegetable related. And, no, totally not ready for the Christmas that appears to be hurtling towards me at a great rate! Eek x

oh, wow, thank you so much, Little Mumma! So excited to have won 🙂
Looking at the pics of your children eating I recognize a familiar scene 🙂 It replays over and over in our household too. Glad we aren’t the only ones…
