In no way can it be possible that my daughter, the one we waited what it seemed like an eternity for, can be 6 months old today. Except that she is. She really is. Six months ago today, I gave birth to a dream come true. I really did.
Note to self: write the damn birth story before you forget.
I have written of the myriad ways this little girl makes our hearts sing. But it can not be ignored that one of the reasons we love her so is because she has been a good night sleeper. The baby that sleeps well holds a special place in every parent's heart. I'm not saying I love her more but it is perhaps easier to find joy in a small person when they respect your need for sleep.
A couple of months ago, she started to wriggle out of her wraps and our once wonderful sleeper started to be less settled. I think this happens with most babies as they get bigger and more Houdini-like with their wrap-escaping abilities. So I started looking around for alternatives. What could I put Harlow in to keep her warm and stop her from startling herself awake?
Enter Love To Dream.
Harlow has been sleeping in their original Love To Swaddle UP for the last couple of months and I really love it. So when Love To Dream contacted me to ask if I would like to review their product, I was honest and told them I was already a fan.
But, I added, I hadn't tried the new Swaddle UP 50/50 in a size large, my postal address is….
So they sent me a new swaddle but this one is even cooler because it has the option to unzip the little side wings to convert into a regular sleeping bag making the transition from swaddle to sleeping bag effortless.
Here is a super-gorgeous baby girl modelling the Love To Swaddle UP 50/50.
Do I like my Swaddle UP 50/50?
And the proof is in the (sweet sleeping) pudding.
In summary, this product is brilliant because;
1. Babies generally sleep better when they are wrapped and Love To Dream swaddles are safer than traditional wraps
2. Babies like to self-soothe which makes the hands beside head design genius
3. The wings on the Love To Swaddle UP 50/50 can be zipped off to transition the baby into a regular sleeping bag (one arm at a time if you want)
4. Babies who sleep well are ace
5. Parents who spike their baby's milk with whiskey to make them sleep are less ace
6. Did I just write that aloud?
To celebrate Little Lady's half birthday, the lovely people at Love To Dream are offering one lucky reader the chance to win a Swaddle UP 50/50 in the size of their choice, valued at $49.95.

Rio is 6 months now too, i cant help thinking how that is half a year old, eek! He’s also slept through and as i dont swaddle his arms he just stays still and asleep all night. I’ve saw these before though and they look fab! x
Wow! I used the love to swaddle when Patrick was tiny. Well, tiny for him (he was 9lbs 15 and 3/4 oz born, so never ever tiny.. yes.. ouch!)and I loooooved it. I hadn’t heard of the 50/50 before. I would love a large for my big boofer. hehe.
No give-away needed for me, but I just wanted to say: Gorgeous! How much does she look like Luca in the first shot?
I wish I’d know about these kinds of zip-up wraps when F was a bub. She was one who loved being swaddled. Thankfully, P was a pretty good sleeper and we ditched swaddling from the time we did our first big flight to LA. Wasn’t the plan, but have you tried wrapping an 11-week-old on a plane? A zip-up wrap would have been handy then too!
Happy half birthday little poppet.. My baby girl is nearly 9 months old.. A size large please!!! Xxx
Oh My gosh I wish they had’ve had these when Aidey & Benny were bubs!!! And a big happy b’day to the beautiful Miss Harlow xo
I would love to win a small
Miss Harlow does model the Swaddle UP quite delightfully! Very gorgeous. I think a Large would be fab for my little buddha. We’ve always swaddled as he has such a strong startle reflex.
Happy half birthday Harlow! x
I would pick the smallest size as my 3rd baby is due in only 7 weeks, perfect timing.
I’d love a size small for our second bub who is due in December. Thanks, and happy half birthday Harlow!
Happy half-birthday Miss Harlow!

He is getting chunky now so if we win large please. 🙂
