Surprise daffodils! Aren't they lovely?

They have just popped up outside our front fence. I remember them appearing at the same time last year and thinking I should pick them and put them in a vase so that I can enjoy them inside. But then again, I like to glimpse them whenever I drive in and out.

What to do? Would you pick them or leave them where they are?

What if someone else picks them? That would annoy me.

Spring is around the corner, my Aussie friends. I am expecting this summer to be a pearler. Harlow will be over six months old and doing stuff. I love the 'doing stuff' stage!

I am grateful and the smallest things remind me why this should be so.

Even surprise daffodils.

I’m Angie!  I mum. I write. I wife. My husband would say this is the correct order.  He’s so neeeedy. I live with my family in Melbourne, Australia, where I complain about the weather for 90% of the year – but I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Except maybe in Lake Como, waving to my neighbours George and Amal each morning.

Awesome. Nice to see the little signs of life, the lightening of the sky, hearing the birdsong in the mornings … not long now.

I know you are a counter of the days when it comes to warmer weather, Mel. You can take the girl out of Queensland…
