The birth story is coming. This isn't it.

But it is all the post-birth info that's fit to print.

Little Mumma & Harlow Post-Birth

Labour Duration: 2 hours, 20 minutes

Amount to which this amazes me: super-maximum amount

People who have now seen my business end up close and personal: super-maximum amount

Ability to chat and make jokes while someone stitches up my perineum: unrivalled

In fact, all showers since birth: more balls of amaze

Gender surprise at nappy change time: on-going – no balls = amaze!

Major emo crying episodes: days 4 and 5 post-birth

Things that set crying off: Luca holding baby, Ziggy saying baby's name, baby being beautiful, baby breathing, global warming

Boob status: porno-esque

VJ status: sitting down was occasionally a trip down birth memory lane but all ship shape now, cap'n

So good lovin' is imminent: ha ha ha ha – no.

Baby sleeping: sure

Sure means: when baby feels like it

Mumma sleeping: when baby feels like it

But seriously: I can't complain

I’m Angie!  I mum. I write. I wife. My husband would say this is the correct order.  He’s so neeeedy. I live with my family in Melbourne, Australia, where I complain about the weather for 90% of the year – but I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Except maybe in Lake Como, waving to my neighbours George and Amal each morning.

Couldn’t sleep, gonna be one of those mid pregnancy insomnia nights methinks, found your report card to my delight and to my partners annoyance (he was sleeping soundly, woke him up cause I was laughing, he is back asleep already. Show off)

    Love this, SO much.

And, I think it must be a special skill that some midwives/doctors have to get us laughing and joking while having our most tender privates stitched up. Same happened here, and I’m still amazed when I think about it.

Love how happy you are. xxx

Excellent and hilarious report all round Ange. Delighted to hear you are all taking to life with Harlow so joyfully. It is blissful, isn’t it. For me, this week, the stress has outweighed the joy of three smallies, which is opposite to how I like to roll, so thanks for the reminder today.
