I think I have covered off the highlights of this week in my unusually oversharing blogs of late. We were superstars and losers and everything in-between.
The truth about yesterday is that LD doesn't like chocolate and Zee is not quite 17 months old so the need for Easter eggs was negligible. That said, this afternoon I went to the supermarket to pick up some bread and came home with some bargain post-holiday stuff. So the Easter Bunny who kind of didn't get around to visiting yesterday miraculously dropped in unseen at around 5:30pm today. Hurrah!
Hey, don't get all judgey! Last year I did paw prints in talcum powder and let me tell you, that was a fucking nightmare to clean up after illiciting an underwhelming response from the children.
I am loving the long weekend-edness though. Really loving it.
More to say and yet, I fear it will be a glass of sauv blanc doing the talking so I will sign off. But not before offering up the weekly portrait – note the 'Bunny Tone' hue courtesy of picnik.com
Hope you had a lovely Easter….
LD doesn’t like chocolate? Really? How the hell did you manage that, seriously? Because I have a child whose #1 food item would be chocolate, and that was with zero encouragement (although my DNA may have been responsible).
Don’t worry, all P got from the Easter Bunny were plastic eggs filled with toddler snacks. No chockies for her yet. They honestly don’t have a clue at this age, anyway. Being nearly 5, this was the most excited F has been. Like, almost-wet-your-pants excited. But previous Easters, she really didn’t get it, at all. I totally get where you’re coming from.
Lovely pic!
Happy Easter lovelies 🙂
Jed got a few token easter eggs. He rolled them around like a ball, and when he finally tired of that little game they immediately became Mumma-property (what a shame…)
Happy Easter hotty.
So I can send the 114 kilograms of chocolate at my house over to you then, can I? x
I should add – I will not bother with the footprints anymore either. Charlotte opened the front door – turned to me and rolled her eyes and said “Mum, could you at least make them the same size?”. Then told Lucas to ‘make sure you don’t step in the powder – I mean the bunny footprints”, and winked at me like I was a dumbarse.
That child…………
Happy Easter to you and your lovelies, too, honey.
Yes, in the end, I bought LD a Hot Wheels Easter box which was basically a big egg and a small car. Guess who gets the big egg?
No, you may not. But it’s sweet (evil) of you to offer.
Happy Easter, lovely Ladybird.
Oh and thank you for the gorgeous card. Your kids are crackers – love them!
Oh my god, she’s an evil genius! Love her. The wink! Too perfect.
I.WANT.ONE.
Have her. She comes with two feral younger brothers though. Thats a deal breaker right there……….
I don’t think kids care when the candy arrives as long as it arrives. Zee and Mazzy must be almost exactly the same age. When is Zee’s birthday?
End of November. He was not due until Christmas Eve. His early arrival is deeply reflective of his subsequent attitude to life. He is determined to do everything in a hurry.
When did Miss Mazzy arrive?
December 9th. She was two weeks early. Her due date was my sister’s wedding day so she did us all a favor.
Well yeah, I was pretty stoked to avoid a Christmas baby.
Is Mazzy named for the band? Are you just that cool? You seem that cool….
